Hadamard-transform (HT) spectrometers offer a multiplex advantageover conventional monochromators, making them very useful in situationsin which the signal-to-noise ratio is low. HT spectrometers having nomoving parts can be implemented by substituting; an electrooptic maskfor the moving mask in the optical path. However, the physicalproperties of an electrooptic mask introduce two types ofnonidealities-static and dynamic-into the measurement system. Thesenonidealities can cause distortions in the acquired spectra if theireffects are neglected in the signal-recovery process. We have developedtwo complete system models which incorporate the effects of both staticand dynamic nonidealities. In addition, we have devised recovery schemesapplicable for each system model and have designed computationallyefficient implementations of the recovery schemes
