A predictive fuzzy control scheme is presented. The emphasis is onthe adaptation mechanism for the knowledge-based linguistic predictionmodel. The adaptation mechanism used is based on a set of fuzzydynamical equations according to mathematical dynamical system theory. Aroad tunnel ventilation control system incorporating the scheme isdescribed. Much better control performance in terms of regulating theair quality in the tunnel and reducing the electrical energy for theventilation requirements has been achieved
