On the priority mechanism of 802.4, in hard real-time factorycommunications

The purpose of this paper is to establish the Rate Monotonicschedulability of 802.4, the industrial communications protocol,operating in real-time environments. It is shown that although itspriority mechanism is not a strict RM scheduler, 802.4 can be RMscheduled if certain necessary conditions hold
