A new method for image interpolation and its applications in imageanalysis

A new method for digital image interpolation is discussed. Thisinterpolation method takes account of the spatial characteristic of theimage sensor. The general application of the algorithm has beendescribed by Oakley and Cunningham (1989). Here, it is shown how themethod can be used to generate Laplacian-of-Gaussian and directionalderivatives of Gaussian images
