Computation of the electric field around a wet polluted insulatorby analytic and finite-difference techniques

A benchmark problem of a cylindrical insulator with a wet and dryband is formulated. An analytic solution was obtained and numericallyevaluated and compared with the solution obtained from afinite-difference technique. The agreement was found to be excellent
