The paper presents a new method for determining sensors sensitivities (gains) and processing of measurement data in high-precision wide-range adaptive measurement systems which use the set (bank) of compensatory sensors (or measurement subsystems) with various input ranges. The proposed method enables to obtain an additional increase in measurement accuracy of adaptive measurement systems compared to previous studies. The method allows setting the sensors sensitivities to the maximal admissible values guaranteeing the absence of sensors saturations at the assumed confidence level. In turn, setting the maximum values of the sensors sensitivities makes it possible to obtain the highest measurement accuracy of the system attainable under given conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed method was examined and confirmed in simulation experiments. Selected results of these experiments illustrating the potential benefits of its application are presented and discussed in the paper.
