In recent years, Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA) method has gained immense interest in assessing the issues of magnetic cores and electrical windings of power transformers. However, use of SFRA test results to localize the faults is still under investigation. Therefore, this research has focused on obtaining and analyzing of SFRA responses of failed transformers with different conditions. Three different test circuit configurations were utilized in measurements. This research has identified that, issues in core and winding structures were not sensitive for all configurations and suitability of this feature to use for localizing of mechanical faults was underlined.
