Architecture, Landscape and Identity:Proposals for the intervention of Urban Heritage of the city of San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Rep

摘要

San Francisco de Macoris has a variety of architectural styles in its heritage buildings: Vernacular, Republican, Victorian, and Eclectic. These buildings had have experienced an aesthetic and structural damage over the years, as a result of the abandonment and lack of maintenance to them as well as their surroundings. On the other hand many of these buildings have been demolished due to the lack of awareness of their owners. Table 1 shows the 4 typology styles selected for the study.
