Research into multi-photon absorption of plasmonic metal and dielectric nanoparticles have gained a lot of interest recentlybecause information on the multi-photon absorption coefficient is necessary for modeling and designing thesenanoparticles for application in biolabelling and deep tissue imaging. Here we present Z-scan measurement results on goldthin films by using femtosecond pulsed laser at wavelengths in near and mid infra-red range (1 μm – 2 μm) .
