摘要

We propose an automotive headlight visible light communication (VLC) system with software pre-equalization, whose transmission rate can reach 427.5 Mbps. The transmitted light source of the system is a vehicle head lamp, and the receiving end consists of a filter, a PIN (S6968) and an oscilloscope. In the process of signal transmission, we use 64QAM-Discrete Multi-Tone (64QAM-DMT) modulation. Before transmitting the signal, we use software pre-equalization to handle it. By combining these techniques, at a transmission distance of 1.2 meters, we achieve a transmission rate of 427.5 Mbps while achieving a bit error ratio (BER) lower than the error threshold of 3.8 × 10-3. This is the maximum transmission rate we know and can be used for car-to-vehicle and car-to-signal communication in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). Finally, through experiments, we find the best working point of this light, the drive current is 180mA, the signal amplitude is 0.4 V.
