摘要

The anticipated increase in the number of Electric Vehicles will have diverse effects on the power system. Although the transmission system might be impacted, the majority of the impacts will be witnessed at the distribution system level. These impacts include both the system loading conditions and power quality issues. This paper provides insights on the impacts of electric vehicle charging using a small-scale laboratory distribution system. The paper shows experimental results of the effect of Electric Vehicles on the system loading and voltage levels at different points of the distribution system.
