New Developments Concerning Measurements of Occupational Dermal Exposures

The results of two projects initiated and funded by BAuA on measurement of occupational dermal exposure will be presented. One project is SysDEA (Systematic analysis of dermal exposure to hazardous chemical agents at the workplace). It is in essence a comparative study of different measurement methods for occupational dermal exposures under highly standardized conditions. The overall objective of this study was to generate scientific knowledge that forms the basis for improvements and standardization of measurement methods for dermal exposure to chemicals at the workplace.
