Nowadays, the waste EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is causing significantly environmental problems with increasing vehicles. From environmental and economical perspectives, the recycling is the best methods to treat the waste materials. This study involved a waste EPDM/PP (polypropylene) blends with the waste EPDM. The waste EPDM powders were treated with ultrasonic treatment, which physically modifies of the rubber particles to give good mechanical properties. As well as the relevance of the mass percentage of the dispersed phase, the influence of the geometry and rotation speeds of a screw the melting temperature of PP materials on the mechanical properties of the blend The purpose of this study is to develop a valuable thermoplastic elastomer from waste EPDM. This paper concentrated on determining the optimum conditions for producing a blend by extrusion which a screw geometry, screw rational speed and operating temperature.
