This paper briefly presents events in the history of the NASP program prior to the formation of the NASP Joint Program Office (JPO) in 1986 and details the events from 1986 to the termination of NASP HySTP in January 1995. The NASP program was the focus of hypersonic research and development in the United States from 1986 through 1994.
