Wireless-PCS systems, through the introduction of new conceptioncontrol functions, aim to respond to the user expectation of highperforming services and the need for flexibility in the management ofdisparate categories of multimedia and multi-requirement applicationssupported by the networks. This paper contributes to the ongoingresearch work in this scenario by describing some proposals for thehandling of multimedia teleservices both at the transport and controllevel, across the wired and wireless sides of an ATM-based wireless PCSsystem.
