The knowledge on the weight distribution of the coset leaders fora given binary linear code is important for the evaluation of errorperformance of the code. An algorithm is proposed for computing theweight distribution of the coset leaders. Using this algorithm, we havecomputed the weight distribution of the coset leaders of (N, K)Reed-Muller codes, binary primitive BCH codes, and their extended codeswith N⩽128 and N-K⩽42
