Modelling and simulation of diesel electrical aggregate voltagecontroller with current sink

In the paper modeling and simulation of a diesel motor with speedcontrol system and generator with voltage system as complex, nonlinearand multivariable systems are presented. Mathematical models for everypart of a diesel electrical aggregate (diesel motor with its speedcontrol system, synchronous generator, synchronous exciter, self-excitedcompounding unit, voltage controller and load) are developed andconnected in a common model of the aggregate. Based upon thesemathematical models of the aggregate, a simulation model is made usingthe “Matrix_x” simulation software package. Thepaper also deals with comparison of characteristics seen from thesimulation aspect and measurements. Bringing into the model new currentsink simulation results, it better matches experimental results. So,this model can be used for selection of the diesel electricalaggregate's type and for analyzing the quality of load supply
