Reporting land cover change from analysis of multiscale remotesensing data

Most current research derives change assessment statistics byevaluating multitemporal data obtained from a single satellite system.As new systems with improved spatial, spectral and temporal resolutionsbecome available, long-term assessments will necessitate incorporationof data from multiple satellite systems in order to provide datacontinuity and to take advantage of the improved data gatheringtechnology. This research addresses multiscale change assessment andreporting issues related to changes observed in remotely sensed data atdifferent levels of spatial and thematic detail
