This paper describes the integration of production planning andscheduling in order to find better schedules. The conventional methodwhich seeks the planning of production before going in scheduling couldcause some schedules to be less optimal. In cellular manufacturing, mostprocesses can be done on more than one machines which have differentprocessing capabilities and processing times. In the proposed methodbased on genetic algorithms, the processing capabilities of the machineswhich includes the processing cost as well as number of rejects producedin alternative machines are considered simultaneously with thescheduling of the jobs. The formulation is based on weighted-sumsmultiobjective which are to minimize makespan, to minimize totalrejects-produced and to minimize the total cost of production
