Design, implementation and performance evaluation of a CORBA groupcommunication service

摘要

This paper describes the design, implementation, and performanceevaluation of a CORBA group communication service. It also evaluates theeffect of CORBA in implementing a group communication service. The mainconclusion is that CORBA can be used to implement group communicationservices and thereby achieve interoperability in a heterogeneouscomputing environment. However, there is a substantial performance cost.As a result, current CORBA technology is not suitable for implementinghigh performance group communication services
