Some experimental results for the head/hand effects in personalcommunications

In this work, some experimental results for the head/hand effectsin personal communications are presented, for the real situation of aperson during a call in the AMPS system. The hand-held unit has amonopole antenna. A simple measurement procedure is described andexperimental results are discussed including biological effect aspectsand wireless communication system performance. The obtained results willinstigate other researchers to carry out a better characterization ofthe head/hand-handset interaction in personal communicationsystems
