The TET-1 satellite was successfully launched on the22~(nd) of July 2012 and is now flying in its destined orbitof about 510 km. After the LEOP and commissioningphase the spacecraft is performing the on-orbitverification of the eleven experimental payloads. Newand innovative satellite technologies have been tested ina space environment over a period of one year todemonstrate their capabilities for the use in futuresatellites. As system prime, Kayser-Threde GmbH (KT)is responsible for the definition and management of thespacecraft and the ground control.In the current payload operation phase, the data of theimplemented Payload Supply System (PSS) developedby KT will be evaluated and verified. The PSS buildsthe interface between the satellite bus and the payloadswhich all have different requirements concerningpower, communication and operation. The PSS operatesand supports the payloads very satisfactorily for theirverification. Based on this success the PSS has theopportunity to be implemented in the next TET platformbased satellites.Furthermore KT developed the Sensor Bus System(SBS) payload for testing an electrical sensor busnetwork with digital temperature sensors. The sensorsand parts of the payload’s data handling unit wereassembled with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)components to verify its applicability in a low Earthorbit (LEO) environment.This paper should give an overview of the ongoingTET-1 mission focusing on the implemented PSS andSBS. Gathered data of this two systems will be analyzedand discussed in order to verify its functionality andapplicability inside future TET or similar LEO satellites.
