The electrode reaction of oxygen and superoxide ion couple wasinvestigated in some amide-type ionic liquids. The solubility anddiffusion coefficient of O_2 in the ionic liquids were determined bychronoamperometric technique with both macro- and ultramicro-??disk electrode. The temperature dependence on the solubility wassmall in these ionic liquids. The diffusion of O_2 was found to beindependent of the viscosity of ionic liquids. The rate constant ofO_2 / O_2~- couple was also independent of the physical properties ofionic liquids probably because the electrode reaction of O_2 / O_2~-couple involves adsorption and desorption on the electrode surface.
