Life cycle view of firm's core competence: Chinese manufacturingindustry as a case

In this paper, a framework of life cycle view of firm's corecompetence is put forward. Then some cases from the Chinesemanufacturing industry, including color TV and telecommunicationsectors, are exploited to gain an inside view into the dynamic nature ofa firm's core competence. Some suggestions of core competence buildingfor technology-based firms in developing countries are also concluded
