A solution for the disposal of spent nuclear fuel andother high-level waste has eluded the U.S. for decades.Deep Isolation has an innovative approach that can breakthis nuclear waste gridlock by using horizontal drilling,special emplacement techniques and corrosion-resistantcanisters. Equally important is an emphasis on robustpublic-private collaboration and community andstakeholder engagement. This approach can provide asolution for the disposal of waste stockpiles that are intemporary storage facilities around the world.
