Charge contrast imaging (CCI) is a poorly understood and rarely used electron beam imagingtechnique of great potential for Earth Scientists. We will illustrate this potential using examplesgained from our extensive use of CCI over the last few years, including practical advice on samplepreparation and instrument settings.
