Based on flume experimental data, a series of numerical tests have beenconducted to investigate sediment transport of sand-silt mixtures underboth wave-only and wave-current conditions. The multi-fractionsediment transport model is set up using the open-source model Delft3D.The comparisons between the experimental and numerical results showgood agreement, especially for the distribution of the sedimentconcentration. Then the model is expanded to simulate the transport ofmulti-fraction sediment on the silt muddy tidal flat. By analyzing thetransport law of multi-fraction sediment, an insight into the sediment(especially silt) transport is provided.
