摘要

The bow wave of high-speed ships is a complex flow with strong nonlinearityand irregularity. The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamic (SPH)has become one of the most vigorous methods for the bow wavesimulation in recent years. In this paper, the SPH method will beapplied to modeling the free surface bow flow around a high-speed incalm water. Considering that the 3D SPH method requires a largeamount of calculation, a 2D+t theory is applied to simulate the bowwave generated by high-speed ships with a sharp stem. For this purposea SPH solver has been designed and the bow breaking wave generatedby fast freighter ships have been simulated.
