The liquid crystal phase shifter integrates the technologies of the liquid crystal display and radar antenna. It belongs to abrand-new interdisciplinary research field. The traditional leakage rate test method of electronic components is not suitablefor the liquid crystal phase shifter. The liquid crystal phase shifter and liquid crystal display have similar structures andthey are sealed by sealant, so, this article adopts the saturated vapor experiment and liquid crystal display material physicalproperties test method to make a theoretical research and experimental verification for the leak rate of the liquid crystalphase shifter. In this paper, we set up a kind of theoretical model for the liquid crystal phase shifter leak rate test and realizethe actual measurement for the theoretical model. The test results comply with expected judgment, which shows that thetheoretical model works, and the test results have actual guiding significance for the material and technological selectionfor producing liquid crystal phase shifters.
