We consider two methods for analyzing soliton impulses propagationin dispersion managed communication lines described by a nonlineardifferential equation. The first method is the split-step Fourier method(SSFM), and the second one is a modification of the Runge-Kutta method(RK). The obtained results show that the SSFM and the RK are perspectivemethods for numerical simulation and optimization of high-speedlong-distance soliton transmission links
