An energy reading and bill generation database for use innonintrusive load management

The Digital Telewattmeter System software package (DTS-Base) waswritten to provide both consumer-side load management and remotetransmission of energy usage data for the utility. DTS-Base providesutilities with a database that stores customer information, readscustomer telewattmeters (field units), and generates customer bills. Theuser friendly software package will call specific field units via thecomputer's modem and download energy usage information. Customer bills,generated using the downloaded information from each field unit, containall the necessary information to allow for consumer-side, nonintrusiveload management
