Two new lossless commutation pulse-width modulated cells usingresonant disconnecting circuit and the corresponding families ofDC-to-DC converters

Two families of lossless commutation pulse-width modulatedDC-to-DC converters using resonant disconnecting circuit (LC-PWM-RDC)cells are discussed. The most important property of the families is theability to regulate output power and voltage by pulse-width modulation,with constant operating frequency, without load limitation. Theoperating principle is presented along with a design oriented analysis,output characteristics, and simulation results. The authors show how touse these cells in DC link inverter applications
