A cooperative industry/university graduate education research, andtechnology transfer program in computer integrated manufacturing systemsat North Carolina State University is described. Administrated throughthe Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering Institute (IMSEI), theprogram draws its resources from six academic departments in the Collegeof Engineering and a consortium of industrial associates.
