Test techniques have been developed to perform remote conductedemission measurements when the physical distance between the equipmentunder test (EUT) and the line impedance stabilization network (LISN)exceeds the length of the EUT power cord. The approach is based on theuse of an extension power line with specified characteristic impedancewhich is called the matched LISN power cable assembly (MLPC). The MLPCdesign options are discussed, including the use of coaxial cables ascurrent-carrying conductors and impedance-tuning circuits incorporatedin the assembly connector. The suggested techniques were experimentallyverified and are used as a standard feature for EMC (electromagneticcompatibility) testing
