A method and a circuit arrangement, in particular a circuit arrangement of a vehicle, for remotely supplying high-current-pulsed loads with a low power loss and a reduced conducted emissions signature, wherein the circuit arrangement has a supply unit, a remotely supplied unit, a first cable harness wire and a second cable harness wire which connects the remotely supplied unit to the supply unit, wherein the circuit arrangement also has a protective circuit placed in the supply unit, a step-up converter placed in the supply unit, a first electrical filter having a first capacitor and a first inductance, placed in the supply unit, an output feedback loop for current and voltage of the step-up converter, placed in the supply unit, wherein the circuit arrangement has a second electrical filter placed in the remotely supplied unit, a step-down converter placed in the remotely supplied unit, a tank capacitor placed in the remotely supplied unit, an output capacitor placed in the remotely supplied unit, an electrical load placed in the remotely supplied unit, wherein a load pulse activation signal controls the step-up converter in the remotely supplied unit and therefore discharges the tank capacitor, supplying current to the electrical load in this manner, wherein the current is supplied from the supply unit to the remotely supplied unit with a reduced and constant current less than the step-down converter supply current.
