Simplified approximation of D. Middleton's non-Gaussianinterference distributions

In D. Middleton's model of non-Gaussian interference, almost allelectromagnetic interference (EMI) environments can be ascribed to threeclasses: class A or coherent interference, producing negligibletransients in the receiver; class B, impulsive or incoherentinterference in the receiver, represented by overlapping transients: andclass C, which equals class A+class B in various proportions. Newresults of a simplified approximation of Middleton's distribution ofnon-Gaussian interference for application to EMC (electromagneticcompatibility) problems are presented. These results provide simplifiedstatistical-physical models of the EMI environment on moving platforms(ships, aircraft, etc.) as well as more general sources of the EMCproblem in question
