Abstract: Experiments were performed on five batches of inbred rats with Walker-256 carcinosarcoma receiving sole treatment photodynamic therapy (PDT), rMuIFN - gamma activated macrophages (AMO) or associated therapy (PDT$PLU AMO - A; PDT$PLU AMO - B) and the control batch (saline) consisting of animals with untreated Walker-256 tumors. These experimental observations demonstrate that `combined' photodynamic therapy with immunotherapy stimulates cell- mediated antitumoral activity, increased survival rates and reduces incidence of Walker-256 carcinosarcoma in rats.!17
