摘要

Polymer nanocomposites have an immense importance in the electrical engineering field because of their excellent dielectric properties. Many polymers can be incorporated with nanofillers for enhancing the dielectric properties at different loading concentrations. Inspite of the similarities in the results of the tested properties, cost should also be taken into consideration. In this respect, polypropylene has proved to be very effective to be used in insulation purposes as a base polymer in contrast to the other polymeric materials and today it has become a non-substitutable polymer. As compared to polyethylene & Silicon rubber, it has higher melting point, resistant to chemicals and other organic solvents. The cost of polypropylene is also low as compared to other polymeric materials.
