Dual Band Frequency Selective Surface for WiMAX/WLAN Band Application

A dual band Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is proposed for WiMAX and WLAN band rejection applications. The presented FSS rejects the WiMAX band (2.98 GHz to 3.55 GHz) and WLAN band (5.3 GHz to 5.77 GHz) to provide the dual band filtering characteristics. The proposed FSS unit cell is designed on FR4-epoxy material with permittivity 4.4, loss tangent of 0.025 and thickness 1.6 mm. The designed FSS unit cell has size of 16*16 mm3, Proposed FSS unit cell is also studied for different polarization angles to verify the rejection characteristics for specified bands in distinct modes. The simulated result of proposed FSS structure like reflection, transmission and polarization is presented.
