In this paper, the design of 15 element printed log-periodic monopole array (PLPMA) antenna is presented. The proposed design has multi-band operation with antenna resonance lying in S (2GHz–4GHz), C (4GHz–8GHz), X (8GHz–12GHz) and Ku (12GHz–18GHz) bands. The patch is realized on the FR-4 substrate with slotted partial ground plane. Taper feeding technique is used to excite the array of log-periodic monopoles. A wide operating broadband range from 1.58GHz to 15.0GHz having acceptable voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) lower than 2.0 with a maximum realized gain of 9.12dBi has been achieved.
