To study the measurement characteristics of vortex flowmeter in mist flow, a multi-parameter adjustable control system based on the mist flow loop was developed to provide stable and various experimental conditions. A film extraction device was developed to remove the deposited liquid film and measure the film flow rate. Then, a probe based on three-axis accelerometer was developed to acquire the vortex signal. The calibration experiments in dry gas and the signal analysis on various mist flow conditions were carried out. Finally, the over-reading (OR) of the gas flow rate and the signal amplitude were analyzed in detail. The results indicate that the single-phase measurement accuracy of the acceleration probe is within ± 1%, and the amplitude shows a quadratic function relationship with the flow rate. In mist flow, OR increases with the increase of the droplet loading, and the amplitude decreases.
