This article discusses the results of statistical processing of the observations on weather stations obtained with different confidence probability limit calculated values of air temperature for the selection of wire sections of overhead power lines for heating. On the basis of these temperatures for each month, analytical and geographical dependencies of the correction coefficient for the long-term allowable normalized current on the average annual temperature of the area are obtained. The coefficients allow for direct long-term accounting of air temperature in cases when the resulting wire sections of distribution networks are selected for heating in any region of the country for any period of the year. The possibility of taking into account the air temperature when only one maximum load is known for the year is justified. When using these coefficients to select wire sections for heating, the efficiency and reliability of electric networks are increased.
