This paper introduces elliptic blending lag equations for a wall-distance-free SST k-ω turbulence model to improve its performance in the near wall region. By simulating several standard benchmark test cases, the computational results are compared with Menter's SST k-ω model, wall-distance-free SST k-ω model, experimental data, and DNS or LES data as available. The results show that the introduction of elliptic blending lag equations improves the accuracy of the wall-distance-free SST k-ω model.
