Urban Interactive Installation Art as Pseudo-Environment Based on the Frame of the Shannon-Weaver Model

This paper is aiming to combine the Pseudo-Environment theory to analyze urban interactive installation. According to the Shannon-Weaver Model, the primary analysis is divided into five different elements: information source, information destination encoding, decoding, channel. Based on the analysis of the structure of installation art. Through the analysis of the communication elements, the basic elements and structure of the communication of interactive installations are combed in the paper. Moreover, the different presentation dimensions and methods of interactive installations in the Pseudo-Environment are explored on the basis of the Shannon-Weaver Model. The design methods and concepts of interactive installations in the field of communication and cultural research are studied and summarized.
