The article presents the results of a study of a new type of resonator for small-sized klystron-type devices operating in the Ku- and K-bands of the frequency spectrum of the microwave range. A feature of the resonator design is the use of a photonic crystal structure and fractals “Sierpinski's Triangle”. Fractal elements “Sierpinski Triangle” was made on a suspended ceramic substrate. The main frequency modes of oscillations were investigated - anti-phase and in-phase type of oscillations. The possibility of tuning the resonator to multiple resonant frequencies was examined. The effect of the change in the dielectric constant of the substrate on the frequency spectrum of the resonator was investigated also.
