Triple-Tip Spot Size Converter for Broadband, Polarization-Insensitive and Efficient Fiber-to-Chip Edge Coupling

摘要

We propose a triple-tip spot size converter to further optimize bandwidth and efficiency for edge fiber-to-chip coupling with much improved polarization sensitivity for thick silicon nitride waveguide. It also has good fabrication/assembly error tolerance.
