Through the introduction of the layout method of the cockpit, this paper expounds the man-machine factors that must be considered in the design layout and the requirements of the competition specification, and determines the process and content of the layout of the cockpit. The ergonomics theory combined with the actual needs of FSC drivers, and the CATIA software was used to establish the angle evaluation of human comfort in the cockpit of formula student car, and the evaluation results of each joint were given. At the same time, the extension field and field of vision were simulated to check the rationality of cockpit layout. The layout results show that the man-machine simulation system can effectively analyze the adaptability of the cockpit, and the layout of the cockpit is beneficial to the driver's driving and improves the driver's handling comfort.
