摘要

Optical communication systems operating with high data-rates and dual-polarization are invariably disrupted by chromatic and polarization mode dispersions. Fixed filters usually mitigate chromatic dispersion, but polarization mode dispersion (PMD), due to its stochastic behavior, is typically reduced with adaptive filters, such as channel equalizers. In this context, this work proposes the use of concurrent blind equalization architectures with a butterfly structure to meet the challenge of designing next-generation optical links.
