Relying on the rich cultural resources, university library has become the second classroom of quality education for college students, is an important base for cultivating talents in Colleges and universities, and undertakes the important mission of educating people. In this paper, Linyi University Library is taken as the research object, and 300 college students are investigated by questionnaire on the current situation of library education. In order to accurately evaluate the cultural education function of the library, this study first quantifies and standardizes the questionnaire. On this basis, principal component analysis and factor analysis are used to calculate parameters in process including correlation coefficient matrix, eigenvalue, eigenvector, factor load matrix and factor score matrix and so on, which can be beneficial to identify the powerful factors that has significantly contribution to the cultural education function of the library. The research results show that the library's educational function in environment, literature resources, excellent regional culture has a good performance, while there is still room for further improvement in the activities as well as the scientific and technological services. Based on the analysis and calculation to the data, we can find the weak aspects of the library cultural education, and then the correct direction can be proposed for the library manager to strengthen the education construction.
