The analysis of an arbitrary oscillator under quasiperiodic multi-frequency excitation is performed. Three basic types of oscillator behavior are defined: in locked mode, the oscillator spectrum contains the same number of fundamentals as the excitation spectrum; unlocked oscillator includes additional fundamental due to intrinsic frequency; additional fundamental disappears when the intrinsic frequency becomes a rational fraction of an excitation fundamental. Numerical examples are presented by simulations of an Adler oscillator under a narrowband quasiperiodic excitation.
